Week 5

Image
This week we started making the technical drawings of our design.  Front View: Side View Back View: Top View: A difficulty I encountered was redrawing my design from new perspectives, this was quite difficult to do and took alot of time. I also made my first three model sheets not knowing they should be in black and white and so spent a lot more time on it than I needed to.  This week we also started thinking of designs for our poster. Since Carter has now finished all the parts of the character, we can combine the two elements for our final poster art.

Week 4

Week 4 Colour Scheme: 1.  #A6A6A6 #000000 #524A3A #FFFFFF #77DBF5 #010E81 2.  #EBDA50 #7365AB #6F50EB #969065 #5D5A6B #413F33 3. #EBCD86 #8C95AB #86A4EA #969186 #4E576B #413824 Some problems I encountered were redrawing my concept drawings on the computer so I could add the colours. I also made the mistake of not saving the uncoloured version of ym concept art separately so I had to go through and fix some of the lines as I couldn't just use the fill tool on top of the pervious colouring to make my other 2 colour versions. That took up a bit more time.  I have learned how to use photoshop a lot more efficiently, copying and pasting all my elements that are repeated often because I'm getting better at using hotkeys to speed everything up.

Week 3

Week 3 This week we used generative AI to create conceptual images of our vehicle to take inspiration from when creating our final designs. The prompt we gave the AI:  A vehicle that travels through water primarily but can also jump high into the air that is inspired by swordfish, flying fish and other saltwater fish and also make the vehicle have elements of victorian gothic architecture. This vehicle should be roughly 5 meters long and fit only one person. Do not make this vehicle have a steampunk style. It should have a point that vaguely resemble victorian gothic spires. It should incorporate arches and detailed pane windows. The silhouette should somewhat resemble a fish but other than that it should not be fish-like. It should also somewhat resemble a seabreacher The reference image we added: We tried using adobe firefly AI image generator to get a rough idea of what we wanted our concepts to look like. Some results we got were: We learned to use Adobe Color to find our vehic...
